The Trojan Baseball Academy Clinics are an opportunity for youth players ages 11(5th grade), 12(6th Grade), 13(7th Grade), and 14(8th Grade) to participate in individualized and advanced baseball skill development. Information on the coaches for these sessions is listed below, "Academy Coaching Bios". The focus of the Trojan Baseball Academy will be on skill development through drills that can be done inside and individually. Participants will go through a typical, indoor high school practice that covers hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, and base running. Each session will have a specific focus as detailed below, but all skills will be covered throughout each session. In addition, the coaching staff will coach drills, provide verbal feedback, and video each player during the session.
Goal: The goal of academy sessions is to show, demonstrate, and teach players a variety of drills that they can use to improve their overall baseball skills.
Purpose: The purpose of academy sessions is to help players feel confident and prepared to go into tryouts and the upcoming season.
Sessions: There will be two separate sessions: 11U and 12U / 13U and 14U. These sessions will be limited to 20 participants per session and will run for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Each session will have a specific skill area focus for an extra 20 minutes. If a player does not do a certain skill (e.g. catching) and does not want to try it, we will find something else for them to do during that time.

11:00-11:10- Dynamic Warm-up
11:10-11:25- Throwing Progression
11:25-11:45- Hitting Stations
11:45-12:00- Pitching/Fielding Drills
12:00-12:20- Skill area focus (hitting, pitching, fielding, or catching- video done at this time)
12:20-12:30- Base running and Wrap-up

Cost per Date: $30 per player per date. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Location: All sessions are held at the New Prague High School. Please enter through lower doors behind the school.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your session, you will be refunded $20. If you cancel within 48 hours of the session, you will not receive a refund. Please contact NPYBA.
Equipment: Bring your own equipment.
